Ecclesiastes 3:19 states: "For the preeminence of man over beast is naught for all is vanity." When the phrase "the preeminence of man" (Oo-mutar Ha-adam) is analyzed gematrially, it's found to have a numerical value of 702. The three specific and unique Hebrew letters that correspond exactly to 702 spell "Sabbath" (Shabbat).

As Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) is ending, near the end of the Neilah service, a prayer is recited: "And seal for a good life all the children of Your covenant." The secret to a good life is embedded within this prayer. The phrase: "Seal for a good life" (Chatom L'chaim tovim) has a numerical value of 613. Because 613 is the total number of commandments in the Bible, it reveals the hidden meaning: if we honor, respect, move towards, and teach our children the 613 commandments, we will have a good life.

This painting reflects my intention to create an original image that can be open to as many interpretations as possible. I deliberately chose to paint this by hand in order to capture the process, action, motion and imperfection of creation. This image can be interpreted as a representation of the creation of the earth; it can also be seen as the singularity (before the Big Bang), the Mind of God, a Platonic sphere, a cell, an atom, an element, and so on.

The unique and specific Hebrew letters that correspond exactly to 345 can be used to spell the Hebrew word Hashem, the polite term used to refer to God, and translated as "The Name." Thus, embedded within the question "Did not one God create us all?" is literally The Name of the One God that created us all, Hashem.
